Term of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the House of Hands – Self Care App and our website (collectively, the "Services"), provided by House of Hands LLC ("House of Hands," "we," "us"). By creating an account or using the Services, you agree to these Terms.

1. Eligibility

You must be 18 years or older to create an account, or have a parent or guardian do so on your behalf. By using the Services, you represent that you meet this requirement.

 

2. Your Account

​

• You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activity under your account.

• You agree to provide accurate information and to keep it up to date.

• One account per person. You may delete your account at any time from within the app.

 

3. Booking Services

​

• Appointments are booked through our booking partner, Square, inside the app.

• Please arrive on time. Appointments cancelled or rescheduled with less than 24 hours' notice may be subject to our cancellation fee.

• Services are provided by licensed House of Hands therapists at our Chicago studio or as otherwise arranged.

 

4. Subscriptions and Billing

• Certain features require an auto-renewing subscription, purchased through the App Store or Google Play.

• Payment is charged to your Apple ID or Google Play account at confirmation of purchase.

• Subscriptions renew automatically unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends.

• You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your App Store or Google Play account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.

• Prices are shown in the app before purchase and may change; any change applies to future renewals.

 

5. Health Disclaimer

The stretch guides, wellness content, and muscle guide in the app are for general wellness and educational purposes only. They are not medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Consult a qualified healthcare professional before beginning any new exercise or wellness routine, and stop and seek care if you experience pain or discomfort.

 

6. Acceptable Use

​

You agree not to misuse the Services, including by: violating any law; interfering with the Services or other users; attempting to access accounts or systems without authorization; copying, scraping, or reverse-engineering the app; or submitting false or harmful content.

 

7. Intellectual Property

​

The app, its design, logos, videos, and content are owned by House of Hands LLC and protected by intellectual property laws. Nothing in these Terms grants you ownership of any of our intellectual property.

 

8. Termination

​

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. You may stop using the Services and delete your account at any time.

 

9. Limitation of Liability

​

To the maximum extent permitted by law, House of Hands LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Services. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

 

10. Governing Law

​

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

 

11. Changes

​

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
